Jens Risom Walnut Sofa with exposed leg, 3 seats. I absolutely love an exposed back leg. I find its a feature that I repeatedly find myself drawn to because its so aesthetically pleasing. I also love the fact that Risom is a Dane but he spent most of his working life in America and so with him over many other great Danish designers you get a blend of the best of both worlds. He brings his pared back Danish side to the work but also that evocative American mid-century style that no one else nails as well as the Americans did.

The sofa has a wonderful shaped cushion and also a factored in gap between the cushions which give this piece a wonderful silhouette. We have added a down filling to the cushions to give it that extra luxurious feel. When we received the sofa it had a well used yellow fabric on it and we liked the pop of yellow with the Walnut frame so we went with a more modern luxurious yellow cotton velvet so it has the nod to the old and to the new. As mentioned it has that wonderful back leg which really pops against against the fabric and also gives the viewer that little bit extra.

• Condition: Restored. All exposed timber has been professionally polished and all upholstery has been replaced.
